NESSI is organised through a governance defined to support achieving impact in the Internet of Services. With members at the heart of NESSI, the governance includes a coordination level and also provides the opportunity of an information level.

NESSI partners coordinate the activities and provide the financial support for NESSI’s daily operations, excluding the research activities themselves. 25 partners, from industry and academia operate through a NESSI Board representing the strategic vision and NESSI Steering Committee defining, implementing and monitoring the NESSI activities. Partners mandates have on average a 3 year duration and are renewed through open calls. Each partner takes on a specific role, providing support to the members or to specific NESSI activities.

Members are at the heart of NESSI, working across all dimensions from research to standards, from application domains to consultations. Today, the 440 NESSI members represent major stakeholders from the ICT services provider domain, and are split equally between industry and academia. The 440 members include 222 members from industry of which 126 are SMEs, 204 members from academia and 14 users.
Becoming a member of NESSI does not require a fee.
